Timmy and his Grumble | Snoqualmie Pet Photography
A Grumble of Pugs
One of my favorite things about pugs, other than how squishy and perfect they are, is that a group of them is called a grumble. Is this because of the noises they make? Is it because of the mean mug their little smooshy noses create? I don’t know, but I’ve never met a happier dog than a pug, and a group of them is a recipe for silliness….my favorite!!
Timmy, Tony, and Tino’s Snoqualmie Pet Portraits
I met Timmy, Tony, Tino, and their parents at my favorite river spot near Snoqualmie, WA for their senior dog pet portraits. It was the perfect late summer evening—no bugs, a slight breeze, a golden sunset, and a bag full of treats for the pups. And these boys? So cute. So dapper. I mean, just LOOK AT THOSE BOW TIES!
Timmy had received a recent cancer diagnosis and his mom travels for work and they knew they would be leaving the state soon, so they wanted to capture one more PNW adventure as a family. Being trusted with capturing these moments for my clients is the honor of my life…I truly have the best job in the world!
During our session, the young pups (Tony and Tino) romped around and had their portraits taken, but Timmy the eldest was the star of the snow. He got snuggles from mom and dad, got to sniff and pee on all the things, and even braved a dip the calm waters of the river’s edge.
“We can’t thank Bee enough for the gift she gave us. She got us in on short notice when we found out our time with Timmy was running out, and because of her, we have the most precious photos. She never rushed us and she cared for Timmy, Tony and Tino like they were her own. She treated them with such tenderness, patience & love. She gave them endless treats and let them be their wild selves.Bee was there for us not just behind the camera, but emotionally with compassion and understanding as we were navigating anticipatory grief. She checked in with us afterward to see how we were doing, which meant more than words can say.Her work is deeply personal and filled with genuine kindness. Bee gave us more than photos; she gave us comfort, grace, and a beautiful way to remember our boy forever.”
Why Senior Pet Photography Matters
Senior dogs have a way of seeing the world differently. Their eyes carry stories—of long hikes, muddy paws, and countless nights spent curled up next to you. Photographing them at this stage of life isn’t just about creating pretty pictures…it’s about capturing their legacy and their impact on your world. Timmy’s parents had to help Timmy pass onto his next adventure just two days after our session, so these portraits were extra meaningful for his family.
Hiring a professional photographer gives you something no phone snapshot can: timeless, emotive portraits that reflect your pet’s soul and your bond with them. Every wrinkle, every grey muzzle, every soft look that says, “Thanks for loving me so well.” It’s all part of their beautiful story and deserves to be preserved forever.
