I’m, like….a huge animal nerd. (“Yeah, we know,” says every person who has ever met me.)

My passion is pets and being a pet photographer in the Pacific Northwest is my calling.

I live in the forest near a small town nestled next to Puget Sound with my husband and our dogs (my babies!), the inspirations behind Tails & Trails. The outdoors are our happy place, whether we’re padding down a dirt trail covered in ferns and towering evergreens, strolling on the soft sand of the beautiful Oregon coast, or huffing our way up to a waterfall or alpine lake. I love it all! If we’re near water and it’s not frozen over? You can bet I’m gonna be in it. When I’m home I’m either nose-deep in a book with a dog or two by my side, or relaxing in a hammock under the massive fir trees in my backyard (probably with a dog in the hammock with me, tbh.)

I believe that Black lives matter, that LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights, and that no human being is illegal. I believe that the outdoors belongs to everyone, that empathy is a super power, and that dogs are the best thing that’s ever happened to us.
