Gold Creek Pond Closure | One Last Portrait Session!
Gold Creek Pond Closure Update
If you know me, you know Gold Creek Pond at Snoqualmie Pass is one of my FAVORITE spots for pet portraits near Seattle. The view of the mountains across the emerald lake surrounded by towering evergreens is truly one-of-a-kind! This beautiful trail was perfect for seniors, puppies, and any pups with mobility issues due to the short, flat trail, and easy access from the trailhead. Gold Creek Pond is now officially closed for the summer and fall season for restoration, though the rumor is that it will be open again for winter recreation this year. The restoration work is going to take years, so who knows what the future of this spot will look like.
I do know I’m fully planning on booking some winter sessions here when the trail opens back up on December 1, so reach out to secure your spot!!
Mountain Photoshoot for Dogs
I had the privilege of doing portraits for these two beautiful Great Danes and their mama and we got lucky with the quintessential PNW weather! The mountains looked incredible, with crisp blue skies….followed quickly by a light drizzle! The rain made it look like the sky was sparkling.
Atlas and Orca had the BEST time, romping in the lake, running down the trail, and at one point Atlas stole his mom’s hat and took off up the hill away from us, throwing it in the air. I barely got a portrait of his silly antics because we were laughing so hard!
This is my favorite part of outdoor adventure pet portraits. Letting you and your pups relax in the beautiful outdoors, where I can capture their personality in all it’s glory. The fresh air and open skies always bring out the best in the pups I work with, with so many of them having “the best day in a LONG time” according to their guardians. You really can’t ask for more than that!!
Looking for the perfect summer spot for mountain pet portraits now that Gold Creek is closed? I’ve found the perfect spot on the Kitsap Peninsula. Gorgeous lake, mountain views, soft sand beach for playing fetch…it’s wonderful. I only share these secret spots with clients, so reach out using the form below to get your pet portrait adventure started!
