It all started on a bright and sunny evening at Cannon Beach, Oregon. The kind of day where the sky is so blue it makes you believe in magic, and the salty breeze kisses your cheeks just right. Kenna and Madeline had just gotten engaged, and K surprised M with engagement/family portraits! Together we strolled along the shore, their two energetic pups leading the way. As their moms enjoyed the gorgeous view, Addie and Maggie got straight to work sniffing all the sand, chasing each other, and running through the waves.

Now, when it comes to Oregon coast pet portraits, you have to be ready for anything. Both girls were naturals, with their personalities shining through! Addie was an absolute firecracker, hopping around the beach like a bunny. Not to be outdone, Maggie did her best shark impression, chasing after her favorite ball. I had so much fun capturing the dogs in their element, being their true selves. Happy, playful, and freaking adorable.
As the sun began its slow descent, painting the sky with shades of gold and peach, we continued our way over to Haystack Rock to get some sunset portraits with the iconic monolith. It’s not a portrait session at Cannon Beach without some beautiful rocks and crashing waves!
The peachy hues with hundreds of seabirds circling overhead provided the perfect backdrop for some classic Oregon coast engagement portraits with K & M’s loyal pups by their side. The final shots of the day were nothing short of magical. K & M silhouetted against the sunset, the dogs frolicking around them, and the majestic Haystack Rock standing sentinel. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
