The love you have for your dog, the way your life is built around their walks and their moods and their very specific opinions about which spot on the couch is theirs…that is a real, beautiful, worth-documenting life. My pet-focused family sessions exist because I believe that wholeheartedly. Your dog does not need to be perfectly trained to be photographed beautifully.

Oregon Coast Pet Portraits
My recent session with D in Bandon, Oregon is a perfect example of this. D’s dogs are her babies! She traveled all the way down to Bandon to get portraits of the bond she has with her dogs, in one of the most stunning backdrops the PNW has to offer.
Bandon, Oregon is home to pristine sandy beaches with breathtaking sea stacks (giant rocks on the beach and in the water). The wide open beach is PERFECT for dog photos, with soft sand and lots of space to run full speed, or cuddle up and watch the waves together.
We met up on a foggy summer morning and the boys were READY for adventure. We had so many zoomies, bitey face games, jumping, rolling, chasing the ball, splashing in the water. I don’t think D or I stopped smiling the entire time we were out there.
We all got covered in sand and had the best morning together, and now D has a gorgeous gallery of portraits of her boys being truly and unapologetically themselves. She will be able to look back on that memory and see their personalities and that silly morning on the coast shine through. That is what pet portraits on the Oregon Coast is all about.
