Cozy Day at Home with MaxDog | Western Washington End of Life Pet Photography

MaxDog was bigger than life! This sweet marshmallow had some mobility issues and was most comfortable at home, but his parents wanted to make sure their happy dude had professional portraits done before they had to say goodbye. We chose a sunny day and spent a gorgeous afternoon in MaxDog’s backyard, where he snuggled with his parents, chased a ball, and even got to show off his bandana collection!

While some of my end of life portraits are done while the pup still has good energy and can make it out to an adventure in the great outdoors, sometimes these rainbow bridge sessions need to take place in the comfort of their own home. These portrait sessions are just as magical, and having these beautiful memories connected to the place where you all live together can often add a little extra magic to their portraits.

While these sessions can be sad, the goal is to capture the joy you and your pet bring each other, and the unmistakable bond and magic between a pet and their human. These sessions are a celebration of a life well-lived and a pet well-loved and, more often than not, are filled with laughter, joy, and happiness as we celebrate these amazing animals and memorialize their personalities for years to come.
